After many years of touring, performing, recording and writing with the greats spanning a multitude of genres Fil Pate and Gustav came together upon a mutual love for acoustic music and immediately discovered a firey spark of improvisational musical chemistry. Drawing from the rich cultures of Django Rhiendhardt style Swing along with Duke Ellington styles mixed with a unique pallettes of World Music from Europe, South America and American styles such as Jazz & Bluegrass Paying homage to the greats and forging a new path into high energy Acoustic Music!

France, Brazil, Ireland and Fusiing that into Fresh and Modern Sound that showcases their collective virtuosity and instrumental mastery. Mandolin takes this music to another level as both a rhythm instrument and a violin-like lead instrument accompanying the energetic sounds of the manouche Guitar.

About Gustav’s Career

Gustav Viehmeyer is an international guitarist and composer known for his virtuous blend of world genres and his enigmatic compositions. Gustav has performed with Dovydas, Stephane Wrembel, Maria Ioudenitch, Bucky Pizzarelli, Jamie Tremps, Renesito Avich. Gustav has performed in The Sarasota Film Festival, The Asheville Django Celebration, Jazz on the Bay, The Naples Motorfest, Cirque Maceo and is a featured artist at the upcoming Sarasota Jazz Festival.

About Fil’s Career

Fil is a nationally recorded artist based in the Tampa Bay area producing shows and recordings in many genres and styles of Music.

Fil has a deep understanding of the language in all Music and is widely known as a modern mandolin and guitar virtuoso. Influences begin with his mentors in music theory, performance and Music philosophy. Fil has studied with Bobby Lee Rodgers, Larry Keel, Danny Knicely, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Dani Rabin, Jeff Mosier, Isaiah Sharkey and the countless others at music retreats and clinics where Fil has both attended and taught Music or stringed instrument techniques.
